Early voting to begin for Special Election

Early voting begins soon for the City of Pearland Special Election. The election is being held for the purpose of electing a Council member in Position 2 for an unexpired term of office.

Early voting begins October 21, 2019 and runs through November 1, 2019. Hours are as follows: October 21-25 from 8 am to 5 pm; October 26 from 10 am to 3 pm; October 28-30 from 8 am to 5 pm; and October 31 and November 1 from 7 am to 7 pm.

Current Council member in that position, Derrick Reed, is vacating his seat. Reed recently announced he will be running for Congress in Texas District 22.

Two candidates are vying for the Council position and will be on the ballot.

The two candidates are Anthony “Tony” Carbone, a Certified Public Accountant, and Jai Daggett, principal owner of Daggett Consulting Group.

Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted at the following locations in Pearland: Pearland East, Tom Reid Library, 3522 Liberty Dr;  Pearland West, Westside Event Center, 2150 Countryplace Pkwy; and Shadow Creek, Pearland Westside Library, 2803 Business Center Dr. #101.

Pearland voters can also vote at the Angleton East Annex 1524 E. Mulberry; Alvin Library at 105 S. Gordon; Brazoria Library at 620 S. Brooks; Freeport Library at 410 Brazosport Blvd.; Lake Jackson Library at 250 Circle Way; Manvel North Annex at 7313 Corporate Dr.; and West Columbia Precinct 4 Building #2 at 121 N. 10th St.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2019
