City of Pearland seeking board members

The City of Pearland is currently looking for new applications for board committee members. When a vacancy occurs in any of the many boards and committees in the City of Pearland, City officials look through applications they have collected to see who is interested.

The City of Pearland depends on specialized boards and commissions, staffed and operated by residents, to assist and advise the City Council and the Admin-istration on the community issues affecting Pearland. 

Interested Pearland residents can attend and observe any of the public board or commission meetings and can talk to the liaison contact for each group to get more information. See the board or commission page on the city website at for the liaison contact information. The liaison will answer any questions and will know when the next meeting is scheduled. 

The city is recruiting for the following boards: Building/Fire Code Board of Adjustments, Economic Development Corpor-ation, Electrical Board, Gas & Plumbing Board, Parks, Rec-reation & Beautification Board, Planning and Zoning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustments, Development Authority of Pear-land, and TIRZ Board #2.

Applications are currently being accepted. 

The City also welcome applications for any other board or commission positions in the event a vacancy occurs throughout the year.

Other individual Boards and Commissions Committees in-clude Animal Shelter Advisory Board, Civil Service Commis-sion, Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), Library Board, and Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number 2 (TIRZ).
