Residents encouraged to be part of Fall Haul 2019

Fall Haul 2019 is Saturday, Nov. 9 from 8 am to 2 pm at Centennial Park.

The event is a bi-annual event in Friendswood.

At this year’s event, Friends-wood residents can drop off trash, yard waste, old appliances, old furniture, wood, bricks, metal, plastic, electronics, and garage sale items.

More items will be acceptable for electronic recycling including computers, routers, laptops, power cords, UPS, cell phones, monitors, hubs, printers, cables, cable boxes, servers, ink jet/ toner cartridges, keyboards, switches, television sets but only 36 inches and under, fax machines and telephones.

Shredding services will be offered from 8 am to noon or until the truck is full. There will be a 200 lb. limit of paper per vehicle and no 3-ring binders, cardboard, floppy disks, hanging file folders, newspapers, microfiche or video tapes.

Garage sale items can be dropped off from 8 am to noon. Items that KFB members will be accepting include furniture, household items, bikes, and other sale items in good condition. Clothing will not be accepted. All money from the garage sale will be used for beautification projects for city facilities and parks.

Wildlife rehab workers appreciate any items that they can use for animals including aquariums, dog and cat carriers, clean rags and shallow crock bowls.

Hazardous waste like tires, paint, batteries and oil will not be accepted.

The event is sponsored by Keep Friendswood Beautiful and the City of Friendswood.

Friendswood residents must show proof of residency.
