The tradition of the annual Tour de Lites family bicycle ride continues this holiday season, hosted by the Forever Parks Foundation of Pearland in collaboration with the Pearland Parks and Recreation Department. This one and a half hour recreational ride is scheduled for Saturday, December 14, 2019 and will begin at the Independence Park pavilion. Participants are invited to decorate their bicycles and judges will select winners of the best adult and child bike decorations. The Pearland Police Department bike patrol team will lead the bicyclists and hay wagon riders through the Green Tee subdivision to enjoy the Christmas lights. Riders will return to Independence Park to enjoy cookies, hot chocolate, and holiday music.
Register online for the event on the Forever Parks Foundation of Pearland Facebook page or website. There is still time to become an event sponsor, too. Proceeds from the event benefit Forever Parks Foundation projects.
