The Friendswood Independent School District will be accepting Sealed Proposals (Texas Education Code 44.031) to supplement our existing contract for PROMOTIONAL ITEMS & APPAREL (INCLUDING SCREENPRINTING & EMBROIDERY). Vendors already approved under RFP 19-002 do not need to resubmit. Sealed proposals can be submitted online or to FISD’s Administration Building at 302 Laurel Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546. Proposals must be received on or before 3:00 p.m., September 2, 2020. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED OPERATING BUDGET OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2020-2021

The City Council of the City of Pearland, Texas, will hold a Public Hearing on the operating budget for Fiscal Year 2020-2021, at 6:30 p.m., on August 31, 2020 located at City Hall, 3519 Liberty Dr., Pearland, Texas 77581 by telephone or video conference in order to advance the public health goal of limiting face-to-face meetings (also called “social distancing”) to slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). There will be no public access to the location described above.

Request for sub-contractor proposals for “Shari D. Coleman Animal Shelter & Adoption Center” and “Pearland Fire Station No. 4”

“Durotech, Inc., as Construction Manager at Risk on behalf of City of Pearland will receive sub-contractor/vendor proposals for the Shari D. Coleman Animal Shelter & Adoption Center project as designed by Quorum Architects and City of Pearland Fire Station No. 4 project as designed by Joiner Architects.

Proposals and qualification statements will be received by Durotech, Inc., from interested proposers, sub-proposers and suppliers until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, in the presence of the Owner and Architect at the offices of Durotech, Inc. at 11931 Wickchester Lane, #205, Houston, Texas 77043-4501, Phone: 281-558-6892 and Fax: 281-496-5637.  Construction Manager Contact: Matthew Mounzer (Shari D. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at 6:30 p.m., the City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Pearland, in Brazoria, Harris and Fort Bend Counties, Texas, will conduct joint public hearings by telephone or video conference in order to advance the public health goal of limiting face-to-face meetings (also called “social distancing”) to slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), for the following cases:

(1) Text Amendments to the Unified Development Code (UDC): 2000-T-33: 

A request of the City of Pearland, for proposed amendments to the Unified Development Code, Ordinance No. 2000T, to include the following: 

1. Amendments to Section 2.4.4.7(d) and Section 2.4.4.8(d), to allow for greater building heights within the Light Industrial (M-1) and Heavy Industrial (M-2) zoning districts in conjunction with providing greater building setbacks measured from property boundaries. 

2. Amendments to Sections 2.4.3.1.(l), 2.4.4.1(k), 2.4.4.3(g), 2.4.5.1(h) 4.2.1.3(p), to establish maximum height for outdoor lighting and maximum intensity for outdoor lighting at the property boundaries of non-residential zoning districts abutting residential zoning districts.

3. Amendments to Section 4.2.4.1(a) Screening – Nonresidential and Multiple-Family Screening Required (New Construction), to include, regulations of required screening materials and density of plantings.

4. Amendments to Section 4.2.4.1 – Screening, to allow detentions ponds to occupy no more than 50% of required landscape buffers adjacent to residential zoning districts.
