Pearland Rec Center, Natatorium to reopen Sept. 11

Date:

The City of Pearland’s Recreation Center and Natatorium will be reopening on Friday, September 11.

With this reopening several changes will be implemented, as well as some previous procedures set in place from the prior reopening, such as the reservation system for use of the various facilities within the Rec Center and Natatorium.

“We are so excited to reopen and welcome all of our members back to exercise and enjoy our recreational facilities. However, we are aware that a significant number of our members will not be able to access the facilities offered due to reduced availability of said services and amenities,” Dr. Christopher Orlea, Parks and Recreation Director, said. “Because of this, facility memberships will remain suspended during the re-opening period for members who choose not to visit the facility during this time period.”

For members who choose to visit the facility during this re-opening period,  their membership will be reactivated upon the first visit, and a credit will be issued to account for the current reduced schedule and service offering required to meet COVID-19 safety parameters.

For non-members, memberships and punch pass options will be available for purchase.

Days of operation will be Monday through Saturday, with Sunday set aside as a day for facilities to close and staff to clean all member-facing amenities for the upcoming week of use.

The Recreation Center and Natatorium are located at 4141 Bailey Road in Pearland.
