The Pearland Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with Bass Pro Shops to host Kid Fish Fest. Scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the free event is designed to educate and provide hands-on fishing experiences for children ages 3 to 16 years old.
“We encourage residents to come out and enjoy the outdoors while partaking in a one of a kind fishing experience,” said Parks & Recreation Director Michelle Graham.
During the event, Texas Parks & Wildlife representatives will educate children about fishing, conservation and respect for the environment. There will be plenty of fish in the pond and poles will be provided while supplies last or you can bring your own.
Volunteers will be onsite to assist with bait and pole check in/out, pole repair and fishing. Additionally, there will be a designated toddler area and a variety of vendors on hand with everything, including face painting. Keep Pearland Beautiful representatives will distribute two tree seedlings per family for planting.
