Pearland Medical Center, Pearland’s first hospital, opened its doors to the community on Tuesday, February 3.
Conveniently located at the southwest intersection of Highway 288 and Shadow Creek Parkway, the $71 million hospital will offer residents of Pearland and surrounding areas access to the highest level of care in the region. Pearland Medical Center is an acute-care hospital with 33 beds and includes inpatient and outpatient surgery, an extensive imaging department, labor and delivery and postpartum recovery suites, dedicated cesarean-section operating rooms, a well-baby nursery, and a Level II NICU.
“Pearland Medical Center is committed to the future growth and success of our community. The residents of Pearland and Brazoria County will now have access to convenient, high-quality healthcare, minutes from home,” said Matt Dixon, Pearland Medical Center CEO.
The hospital employs approximately 250 staff members and has a medical staff comprised of more than 200 physicians in a variety of specialties.
