Galveston County and the jurisdictions of: Friendswood, Bayou Vista, Clear Lake Shoes, Hitchcock, Jamaica Beach, Kemah, La Marque, League City, Santa Fe, and Tiki Island

We Need Your Input! Monday, Feb. 29 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Galveston County Courthouse, 722 21st Street, Galveston.

Being prepared for all types of natural hazards and disasters is the first step in reducing negative effects. Mitigation planning is the best way to be prepared. Please join us to review and make comments on the draft Galveston County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan.

This meeting is for all residents, stakeholders, and business owners in Galveston County.

If you are unable to attend the meeting in person, you may view the plan online at www.gcoem.org and provide your comments from Feb. 29 to March 6.

Mitigation Planning is a process for identifying actions that reduce or eliminate long-term risk to people and their property from natural hazards.
