Knape speaks to Manvel Council about seniors

Manvel City Council met February 18, 2020 for the regularly scheduled meeting.

Breah Knape spoke to members on Serving the Senior Citizens of Brazoria County. Knape is the Executive Director of ActionS, Inc.

ActionS, Inc of Brazoria County serves the needs as well as works to enrich the lives of the Seniors of Brazoria County. ActionS services and programs enable County seniors to remain part of their community, while maintaining their dignity, independence and purpose of life.

Council also considered appointments to the Events Task Force Board as well as the Building and Standards Commission.

In consent agenda, Council heard the second and final reading of the ordinance rezoning Del Bello Lakes Development to a Planned Unit Development.

Acceptance of infrastructure improvements were part of the agenda and concerned the following areas and sites: Pomona Development, Alvin ISD CTE Facility, water plant improvements project, The Colony section within Rodeo Palms subdivision, Phase 3 of wastewater treatment plant expansion, Lift Station 8 in Bluewater Lakes Development, Bluewater Lakes East Detention Pond and Pond Safety Shelf,  and Sedona Lakes sections.

Council also discussed special exemptions for the use of shipping containers.
