Council considers ordinance, appointments

Manvel City Council met March 2, 2020 at City Hall in Manvel

A public hearing was held prior to the regular meeting. The hearing concerned amending Ordinance No. 2019-O-09 establishing a specific use permit for Redeemer Church at 18218 Morris Avenue granting a specific use permit and amending the zoning classification of approximately 5.022 acres adjacent to the address rezoning form light commercial district/SH 6 overlay district to light commercial district/SH 6 overlay district with specific use permit.

During the regular meeting Council discussed the Ordinance.

In other Council business, appointments to the Manvel Economic Development Corporation Board were made in positions #1, #2, and #3 with a term to expire March 2022.

Council also determined appointments to the Planning Development and Zoning Commission positions #5, #6, and #7 with terms to expire March 2022.

Alternates were determined for the Building and Standards Commission.
