Backporch presents Til Death Do Us Part

Date:

Kids’ Backporch Productions is proud to present their 85th production, The Wedding Murder Mystery: Til Death Do Us Part by Craig Sodaro. The production will be shown at Shadycrest Baptist Church in their Fellowship Hall at 3017 Yost Blvd. in Pearland.

The community is invited to the most offbeat wedding of the season, where murder takes center stage and all the guests are suspects. Neither the groom’s parents nor the bride’s former boyfriend want the marriage to happen.

The family lawyer has a little something up his sleeve and it might involve an enigmatic guest who dies mysteriously before revealing who she really is. When the lawyer is also murdered, amateur sleuth Miss Peabody conducts an investigation punctuated by the traditional wedding events in which the audience can also participate, such as throwing the bouquet, cutting of the cake, and dancing.

But each moment brings Miss Peabody a step closer to the identity of a ruthless killer consumed by greed. With the audience’s help in finding clues during intermission, all but the killer will live happily ever after.

Director is Amy Kennah-Ricketts with Elvira Salazar Stage Manager. The production runs March 4 at 7 pm; March 5 at 3 pm and 7 pm and March 6 at 3 pm.

Purchase tickets online at http://kidsbackportch.ticketleap.com. Tickets can also be purchased 30 minutes prior to the show at the door. Adults are $15 with seniors 65 plus $12 and children under 18 are $9.
