The Friendswood Mustangs have punched their ticket to the 2022 Class 5A state baseball tournament at the Dell Diamond Stadium in Round Rock. The ‘Stangs swept Lake Creek 4-1 and 8-3 in a best-of-three series to win the 5A Region III title game. The Mustangs (27-9-1) will face Mansfield Legacy (32-9) at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 9 in the Class 5A state semifinals.
