A Car Seat Check will take place on Saturday, July 16, at Pearland Fire Station No. 4 from 9 am to noon. This educational event is open to the public and free to attend.
Hosted by the Pearland Fire Department, Safe Kids Greater Houston, and Texas Children’s Hospital, this event will inform caregivers of how to properly secure the car seat, safety techniques, vehicle precautions and more.
“It is about making sure the whole vehicle is safe,” Raquel Garza, Community Outreach Coordinator for the Pearland Fire Department said. “This event will make it possible to reach more of our community to ensure every child is riding safe every time.”
Caregivers are encouraged to bring their child, car seat manual, and vehicle owner’s manual to ensure proper installation.
Pearland Fire Department typically holds car seat safety checks by appointment only on the third Friday of each month from 8 am to noon.
For those unable to make the event on July 16th, residents can schedule an appointment online at https://www.pearlandtx.gov/departments/fire/community-risk-reduction/community-outreach/car-seat-inspection-form.
The goal of the Pearland Fire Department is to provide for the safety and health of the public.
Fire Station No. 4 is located at 8333 Freedom Dr in Pearland.
