Photos needed of military service for Celebration of Freedom

Date:

Every year at Pearland’s Celebration of Freedom event part of the program is set to recognize all those who have served in the military.

This year the Parks Department wants to highlight members in the community who are currently serving or have served in the past.

If a resident or a family member have served in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, National Guard or Coast Guard then please consider submitting a photo for the City to showcase in a video during the Presentation of Colors at this year’s event.

When submitting a photo, please be sure it showcases the member in uniform or in service in some manner. Also include the member’s name, military branch, rank, and years of service so the City  can include this info in the presentation.

Event organizers look forward to seeing everyone this July 4 and can’t wait to celebrate and show appreciation for all who have served

Please submit photos to cityofpearland@pearlandtx.gov to be featured.

Celebration of Freedom is July 4, 2022 from 6 to 10 pm at Independence Park at 3449 Pearland Parkway. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.

The event will feature live music from the variety band, Adrian Michael and the Greenway Band, on the H-E-B Entertainment Stage and a spectacular fireworks display.

Activities will include Presentation of Colors, strolling entertainment, food trucks, vendor and sponsor booths and giveaways.

Event parking will be available at Pearland High School at 3775 S. Main Street. A limited lot with accessible parking will be located inside the park on a first come, first serve basis. Drivers should enter from Liberty Drive.
