Bringing Back Main Street roundtable event returns

The program Bringing Back Main Street Roundtable will be returning Tuesday, July 26 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Waller City Hall and Civic Plaza, 1218 Farr, Waller. The event will be in person, and registration is requested. The event is hosted by the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC).

The topic will be Persistence Pays Off: A Long-Term Plan for Revitalizing Downtown.     Those interested are invited to attend as the City of Waller and the Waller Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) discuss the planning process and available resources they’re using to revitalize their downtown and attract developers to the community.

New businesses in town include Location 6 (a craft brewery), EJI’s Culinary (chef’s ghost kitchen), and Finishes Solutions (a housing and construction development company)

Participants will hear from representatives of the city, WEDC, and the developers. The event will conclude with a brief walking tour of downtown. Breakfast and networking begin at 9:30 am and program begins at 10 am.

H-GAC hosts quarterly roundtables to help local governments, chambers of commerce, and economic development interests promote the economic revitalization of downtown areas.

Waller City Hall and Civic Plaza is located at 1218 Farr, Waller.
