Friendswood Library to host town hall meeting, musical event

The Friendswood Public Library is hosting a Library Town Hall Meeting Tuesday, July 19 at 6 pm.

The purpose of the meeting is to receive input from the community for the libarry’s long-range strategic plan.

Join library staff and members of the library board to learn more about library operations and to provide valuable feedback as the library plans for the future.

In other library news, a free musical performance is planned for Thursday, July 14 at 7 pm.  Tucker Hart will perform, sponsored by Friends of the Library. Hart is a singer and songwriter from League City.

Family Board Game Night will be Wednesday, July 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. This event is for all ages but all children under age 10 must be with an adult to attend.

The Sunset Drum Circle will meet Tuesday, July 26 at 7 pm. Anyone interested may join the group.

Become a Friend of Friendswood Library  for as little as a $10 annual membership.  The Friends meet the first Tuesday of the month for an hour to discuss service initiatives, outreach, and fundraising activities.  Meetings are optional but the Friends would love to hear from you.  Become a Friend online through the Friendswood Library website or in person at the library’s circulation desk.

The library is located at 416 S. Friendswood Drive in Friendswood.
