Brazoria County Health Department Reports First Monkeypox Case

Brazoria County Health Department is reporting its first confirmed case of Monkeypox in Brazoria County. The case was confirmed on July 25, 2022. The infected individual is isolated and recovering at their home in Northern Brazoria County. For Monkeypox information, go online to CDC.gov or dshs.texas.gov.

If individuals feel they have been exposed or have Monkeypox symptoms, they should contact their medical provider. For additional information, individuals can contact one of the Brazoria County Health Clinics:
