The junior version of the fairy tale fantasy is based on the book by Linda Woolverton. The synopsis of the tale is as follows: Based on the 1991 Disney movie and dating back to a late 18th-century classic French fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast tells the story of Belle, a young woman who feels trapped in her little French village. When her father is mysteriously imprisoned in a castle, she attempts to rescue him but instead is captured herself by a fearsome Beast. Long ago the Beast had been a human but was trapped into the grisly form by an enchantress. He can become human again if he learns to love and be loved in return. But, all of this must happen before a magical rose loses its petals. If no petals remain, all hope will be lost and he will be a Beast forever.
