Getting to play a round of golf at famed golf course Pebble Beach is a dream of a lifetime but getting to play with an NFL legend makes it that more unforgettable.
Former standout Pearland golfer Kendall Jackson, who is now getting an education at Howard University in Washington D.C. while also making her mark on the golf team got the rare opportunity to play at Pebble Beach with NFL legend wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.
“I had a great time,” Fitzgerald said to her via Twitter. “Your future is so bright. It was nice meeting your father as well. I will be keeping an eye on you this season. You have a new fan.”
Jackson also was presented a Stephen Curry jersey by the NBA All-Star and NBA champion. The University reignited its golf programs after a generous donation from the NBA superstar.
Jackson qualified for the state golf tournament twice when she was a freshman and senior at Pearland HS. She holds the PHS record with a round of 67. This was Howard University’s inaugural women’s golf class in 2022.
