Former Friendswood Mayor Harold Whitaker has passed away.
A pillar of the community where he lived for over 50 years, Mr. Whitaker leaves behind a legacy of volunteerism and community service.
In addition to serving two terms as Mayor of Friendswood, he also served on the Friendswood ISD School Board, the Galveston County Central Appraisal District, and the Galveston County Drainage District.
Whitaker is survived by his wife, Ann Whitaker and their five children.
