Parks and Wildlife annual drawing

An annual drawing for 10 guided hunting excursions is being held as fundraiser for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Money raised through the Big Time Texas Hunts program goes toward wildlife research, habitat conservation and public hunting access. Ten winners will be drawn for trips that include the, ‘Exotic Safari‚’ at Mason Mountain Wildlife Management Area, the ‚’Texas Grand Slam‚’ with four separate hunts and ‚ ‘Ultimate Mule Deer Hunt‚’ in the Texas Panhandle.

Entries are available for $9 online at tpwd.texas.gov, or for $9 at license retailers for $10. Locally, retailers include Academy Sports at 2804 Business Center Drive and 2550 Pearland Parkway, and at Wall-Mart, 1710 Broadway St.

The deadline to purchase is Oct. 15, and winners will be announced approximately two weeks later.
