Ambeau to Deliver State of the District

The annual State of the District for Friendswood ISD will be delivered this year by Deputy Superintendent Lauren Ambeau.

Hosted by the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce, the luncheon will be held at the First Baptist Church on September 7th from 11 am to 1 p.m.

While the State of the District is ordinarily delivered by the District Superintendent, Thad Roher will be out on medical leave.

Ambeau was promoted to Deputy Superintendent in May 2022. Her previous experiences in education include classroom teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, elementary and intermediate school principal, Executive Director of Elementary/Intermediate Teaching and Learning, and Assistant Superintendent.

Ambeau is a former college athlete at Texas A&M where she ran both track and cross country. She frequently presents to educators and leaders on organizational transformation, workplace culture, learner-centered instruction, strategic planning, and leadership.
