Eclipse events

Date:

Pearland Parks and Recreation is hosting an “eclipse viewing” event from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Delores Fenwick Nature Center, 5750 Magnolia Parkway, with solar system-themed crafts and viewing glasses while they last.

Set to begin just after 10 a.m., Saturday’s solar eclipse will be “annular,” meaning the moon won’t completely cover the sun because of its position relative to Earth. Viewing parties are also planned 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, Children’s Museum of Houston and Space Center Houston.
