Water Polo Lady Mustangs Move on to Area Play

Date:

The Friendswood High School girls’ water polo team defeated Clear Falls 16-6 in bi-district play on October 10th at our home pool. The Lady Mustangs moved on to the Area round on Saturday, October 14th, where they played Deer Park and won 12-6.

The girls’ team advances to the next round, the regional quarterfinal, to be played this Tuesday, October 17th, at 5:30 pm against Clear Springs at Clear Springs High School. Congratulations, Lady Mustangs!! We are so proud of you!

Emmie Ratcliff scored her 100th-season goal during the Clear Falls game. Congratulations Emmie!

Unfortunately, the boys’ water polo team lost their bi-district game, 11-18, against Clear Falls and are out of the playoffs. The boys team had a great season! The seniors will be missed next year, but the boys’ team has a bright future.

The FHS water polo teams are led by Head Coach Craig Sikkema and assisted by Shawna Lewis and Crissy Kemp.
