Food vendors announced for weekend

Part of the Hometown Christmas celebration at Independence Park this weekend, Blitzens Bazaar from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday will include more than 100 booths along with specialty food vendors.

Already signed on are Travelin’ Toms Coffee, Texas Snow and More, Tamale Shakk Houston, Sparta Houston, Space City Spudz, Sauce Time, Rita’s Italian Ice and Custard, Mondaze Mini Donuts, Magnolia Cajun Comfort, J’s Firehouse BBQ, Duron Kettle Corn and Bobbie Jean’s Fish and Wings.

A fireworks show is set for 9 p.m. on Friday, and the annual lighted parade begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday, traveling along FM 518. Parking will be at Pearland High School with free shuttles. Parking and entry are free. For information, call 281-412-8900.
