Pearland ISD earns A in Niche ratings

According to Niche ratings, Pearland Independent School District received an A rating and ranked fourth in the Houston metro area for excellent academics and student culture in the 2024 Niche ratings.

In addition to claiming the No. 4 spot in the Houston area, Pearland ISD is ranked No. 30 out of 1,052 Texas school districts. Pearland ISD was rated as the top district among the Brazoria County districts.

Pearland ISD is also ranked as the 10th most diverse, 14th best district for athletes and 15th best place to teach in the Houston area.

Founded in 2002 as Collegeprowler.com, Niche has since expanded to provide insights and reviews of K-12 schools, cities, and neighborhoods nationwide — based on government/public data as well as surveys.
High district and campus rankings indicate:

• Students are happy with academics, teachers, health, resources, facilities, extracurricular activities, sports, and fitness.

• Schools have excellent teachers, resources for learning, and student outcomes.

• Schools have a diverse population and foster an accepting, positive culture.

• Students are actively involved in extracurricular activities and sports.

Factors considered in district and school rankings ranged from academics, student culture/diversity, parent/student surveys, teachers and resources/facilities to extracurricular/activities, sports/fitness, and district overall experience.

• No. 28: Silvercrest Elementary (out of 918 ranked elementary schools)

• No. 23: Berry Miller Junior High (out of 377 ranked middle/junior high schools)
