Fundraiser seeks to support family of slain teen

Date:

In the midst of the holidays, 18-year-old Ethan Riley was senselessly taken from his loved ones, leaving his family and the Friendswood community gripped with shock and grief. His parents, sisters, and the rest of his extended family left behind to pick up the pieces and navigate their way through the devastation, back to some semblance of normalcy.

As they grapple with this profound loss, Ethan’s cousin, Elizabeth Farrell, has launched a fundraising campaign to assist with funeral expenses. The fundraiser, meant to provide some relief to the bereaved family, has been set up on the popular crowdfunding platform GoFundMe.

The Friendswood community has already shown an abundance of support, with dozens of residents reaching out to Farrell with messages of hope and prayer. Many shared stories about their experiences with Ethan during his life.

The heartbreaking loss of Ethan Riley can never be recovered, but there is no denying the importance of community support in times of unspeakable sorrow. As the Riley family mourns, they are not alone. The community stands with them, extending their support through kind words, prayer, and contributions to help ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time.
