Friendswood Police Report

Theft

Jan. 22 (8:00 a.m.) A truck was stolen from a driveway in the 800 block of Falcon Lake Drive sometime after 7:45 p.m. on January 21st. The truck is described as a black 2021 GMC Sierra AT4. It has a 4-inch lift, Michelin tires, black running boards and a black leather-like bed cover. The license plate number is PCR0080 and the license plate on the rear has a Michigan State frame.
Jan. 24 (11:40 a.m.) A resident in the 16700 block of David Glen Drive reported the theft of mail from a mailbox. The victim has determined that a driver’s license and bank cards are missing.
Jan. 24 (4:12 p.m.) A license plate was stolen from a truck parked in the 1100 block of Lost River Drive on January 16th.
Jan. 25 (11:33 a.m.) A package was stolen from the front porch of a residence in the 3600 block of Townes Forest Road. The package was delivered at 9:43 a.m. and was gone when the resident went to retrieve it at 10:00 a.m.
Jan. 27 (6:53 p.m.) A 17-year-old male of Friendswood was issued a citation for Theft after stealing items from HEB, 701 W. Parkwood Avenue, passing the point of sale and not paying for the items. An employee approached the teen at a white Honda Accord, demanded the items back, and contacted police. The other three teens in the vehicle paid for their items and were not involved in the theft.

Fraud

Jan. 23 (9:12 a.m.) A Friendswood resident received notice in the mail about a bank account they did not open. The account was opened at a Frost Bank in San Antonio without the victim’s permission.
Jan. 26 (9:20 a.m.) A Friendswood resident reported that she had two “hard” inquiries on her credit report that occurred on January 10th. She discovered that someone used her personal identifying information to apply for credit.
Jan. 26 (7:26 p.m.) A 41-year-old Friendswood woman contacted police after intimate photographs containing her image were sent to her employer. The victim received a text message and an email from an unknown person who threatened to send the images to family and friends if she did not respond within 30 minutes. She did not respond and soon got a phone call from her employer who received an intimate photograph. According to the victim, she shared intimate images with an unknown person that she had never met through Facebook. When the person asked her to send Bitcoin, she stopped corresponding with him. It was determined that the profile the person used on Facebook was fake.

Narcotics

Jan. 23 (1:31 p.m.) A 16-year-old Friendswood High School student was found in possession of a vaping device containing THC. The student will receive a summons to appear in Friendswood Municipal Court on the charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Disorderly Conduct

In response to a recent media report, several residents reported that they were victims of a group of teens banging on their doors and destroying property. The incidents occurred in December and one as recently as January 11th. The incidents occurred in the 5100 block of Royal Parkway, 1000 block of Bolivar Point Lane, and on Earlham Drive
Jan. 28 (12:23 a.m.) Three 15-year-olds and a 14-year-old were caught after a resident in the 100 block of Garden reported a group of teen boys ringing their doorbell and running off. An officer found the teens in the 200 block of S. Friendswood Drive. They were supposed to be spending the night at a residence in the 100 block of Garden. All the boys were released to the custody of the chaperoning parent.

Other Incidents

Jan. 24 (3:19 p.m.) Police are investigating suspicious activity that occurred at HEB, 701 W. Parkwood Avenue on January 23rd. An employee reported that a 67-year-old Friendswood man was taking pictures of her while she was bending over. It was witnessed by another co-worker who confronted the man. Security video was viewed and confirmed what the co-worker observed and saw that he conducted the same activity with other female employees. The man has been identified.
Jan. 27 (8:25 a.m.) A 34-year-old Tyler man is accused of violating a protective order after contacting his ex-wife through Venmo and using an anonymous email account.

A male suspect, 23, of Friendswood, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
A male suspect, 25, of Houston, was charged with No Driver’s License and No Insurance.
A male suspect, 20, of Houston, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
A male suspect, 21, of Spring, was charged with No Insurance.
A female suspect, 30, of Pasadena, was charged with Display Expired Registration, Driving While License Invalid, and No Insurance.
A male suspect, 26, of Houston, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
A male suspect, 34, of Houston, was charged with Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence.
A male suspect, 31, of Pearland, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
A male suspect, 47, of Alvin, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
A male suspect, 20, of Pearland, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
A male suspect, 30, of Houston, was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
