64th Annual Secondary Science and Engineering Fair Results

Clear Creek ISD is pleased to announce the student winners, at the secondary level, of the 64th Annual CCISD Science and Engineering Fair Award Ceremony held on January 31, 2024, at the CCISD Learner Support Center. A total of 140 students will now advance to the Science and Engineering Fair of Houston in February.

A total of 287 intermediate and high school students advanced to the District-level competition, with 184 earning an award. Students compete in Life Science, Physical Science, or Engineering.

“These students have devoted countless hours to research and experimentation over the past several months,” said CCISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Karen Engle during the ceremony. “This evening, we proudly recognize their achievements and honor their spirit of curiosity, a curiosity that drives discovery as we’ll see here tonight,” Engle said.

Dr. Engle also expressed her appreciation, and that of the Board of Trustees, to a strong community of teachers, parents, science fair judges, and presenting sponsor, SAIC, for their support that powers student success.

CCISD recognizes students who participated in the fair for 12 years. The following students received this esteemed recognition: Christopher Creedon, Ryan Noorbakhsh, Shivani Patel, David Corvaglia, Auyush Ganapathy, Teddy Garza, Rhea Wadhwa, Melina Kumar, Alex Buerstinghaus, Varun Balaji, Anistacia Beatty. The following students received the Lucky 13 participation award for 13 consecutive years competing in the fair: Amelia Weiss, Alexander Colling, David Bidulescu and Jacob Pitcher.

The 140 CCISD secondary projects eligible to advance to the Science & Engineering Fair of Houston will compete February 16-17, 2024, at the Fort Bend Epicenter.
