An esthetician school is set to open in Pearland’s Old Town District.

The City Council on Monday unanimously approved a conditional use permit for the school, which will teach services such as lash extensions and nails, to open at 2400 South Texas Avenue.

The location will also offer services to customers, according to esthetician Salicia Grosse.
“People can come in and get half price,” she said.

The new business also helps fill vacant spaces in Old Town, Councilman Adrian Hernandez said.

“That’s something we do talk about up here a lot,” he said.

A public hearing regarding granting the conditional use permit drew no speakers.
