Fair Housing is a National Policy of the United States. It’s the law, and it’s your right. To promote fair housing practices, on March 21st 2024, the City of Brookside Village passed a Fair Housing Proclamation designating the month of April 2024 as Fair Housing Month.

Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, as amended, prohibits discrimination against any person on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, familial status or national origin in the sale or rental of units in the housing market.
