Burglary

Mar. 28 (7:53 a.m.) A burglary was reported at AK Smoke, located at 5039 FM 2351. A passerby called the police when they observed the front glass door shattered on the business. Officers entered the building and made sure no one was inside. Surveillance cameras showed that the burglary took place at 2:02 a.m. Two suspects entered the store, loaded up a box with merchandise, and left the store.

Criminal Mischief

Mar. 26 (7:59 a.m.) Two tires were slashed on a vehicle parked at the Autumn Creek Apartments, 3102 W. Bay Area Blvd. The incident occurred overnight.
Mar. 28 (5:48 p.m.) A rear window of a vehicle was smashed sometime between 5:00 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. at the Salem Square Apartments located at 107 Clearview Avenue.

Theft

Mar. 26 (9:40 a.m.) A Pearland woman reported the theft of a political sign from her vehicle while parked in front of a business in the 200 block of S. Friendswood Drive.
Mar. 26 (1:54 p.m.) A Chrome book was stolen from the Friendswood High School Boy’s Locker Room at 702 Greenbriar Drive. The theft occurred between 7:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. The device was later found in the possession of another student.
Mar. 27 (8:23 a.m.) A longtime resident of Village on the Park, 400 E. Parkwood Avenue, reported the theft of documents containing his personal identifying information.
Mar. 28 (8:19 a.m.) The theft of a basketball occurred at the Stevenson Park basketball court, 1100 S. Friendswood Drive, on March 27th. The suspect is a young, 22 to 23 years of age, white or Hispanic male, 5’6” tall. At the time of the theft, the suspect was wearing a black Sephora t-shirt and pink shorts. He left in a grey Nissan Sentra with black windows.
Mar. 30 (11:08 a.m.) A Friendswood woman found a person on the Nextdoor App who agreed to make an Easter basket. The victim paid a $20 deposit for the basket on March 5th using Apple Pay. After several weeks of not hearing from the seller, the victim did her investigation and provided the information on the possible suspect to the police for follow-up.

School Incidents

Mar. 27 A 14-year-old Friendswood High School student was found in possession of a vape device. A municipal court summons will be issued for the charge of Possession or Purchase of an E-Cigarette by a Minor.
Mar. 28 An 18-year-old and a 16-year-old Friendswood High School student were found in possession of a vaping device. They will receive a summons for Possession or Purchase of an E-Cigarette by a Minor. A 15-year-old Friendswood High School student was found in possession of nicotine pouches. He will receive a municipal court summons for Possession of Tobacco by a Minor.

Traffic

Mar. 29 (5:30 p.m.) A hit-and-run accident was reported in the Kroger parking lot at 3135 FM 528. A good citizen left a note on the victim’s vehicle with the possible license plate number of the vehicle that hit her vehicle and a vehicle description. The incident occurred between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
