National Recognition for Music Education Support

Date:

The Clear Creek Independent School District has received the Best Communities for Music Education Award from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education.
For 25 years, this designation has been given to school districts nationwide for achieving the highest standards for providing music access and education to all students. CCISD is one of 975 districts to receive this designation for 2024.
“We are honored to be recognized by the NAMM Foundation as a district that provides music excellence and top education for students,” said CCISD Director of Visual and Performing Arts Greg Goodman. “This further acknowledges the outstanding work of our dedicated staff, students and parents and their commitment to the arts.”
In order for districts to qualify for the Best Communities designation, they answered detailed questions about funding, commitment to the music program, graduation requirements, staffing and access to music instruction. Responses were verified by school officials and reviewed by The Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas.
