NOTICE OF ELECTION / AVISO DE ELECCIÓN
TO THE RESIDENT, QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE PEARLAND INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT:
A LOS VOTANTES CALIFICADOS RESIDENTES DEL DISTRITO ESCOLAR INDEPENDIENTE DE PEARLAND:
TAKE NOTICE that an election will be held in the Pearland Independent School District on May 4, 2024, as provided in an ORDER CALLING AN ELECTION duly passed by the Board of Trustees of said District on February 13, 2024 which Order is substantially as follows:
SE LES INFORMA QUE SE LLEVARÁ A CABO UNA ELECCIÓN EN EL DISTRITO ESCOLAR INDEPENDIENTE DE PEARLAND EL 4 DE MAYO DE 2024, SEGÚN SE ESTIPULA EN UNA ORDEN QUE CONVOCA A UNA ELECCIÓN DEBIDAMENTE APROBADA POR LA JUNTA DE SÍNDICOS DE DICHO DISTRITO EL 13 DE FEBRERO DE 2024, LA CUAL SUBSTANCIALMENTE EXPRESA LO SIGUIENTE:
Proposition A
Shall the Board of Trustees of the Pearland Independent School District be authorized to issue the bonds of the District, in one or more series, in the aggregate principal amount of $75,000,000 for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, renovating and equipping school facilities in the District, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, parking, and security improvements, with the bonds to mature, bear interest, and be issued and sold in accordance with law at the time of issuance; and shall the Board of Trustees be authorized to levy and pledge, and cause to be assessed and collected, annual ad valorem taxes, on all taxable property in the District, sufficient, without limit as to rate or amount, to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds and the cost of any credit agreements executed in connection with the bonds?
¿Se deberá autorizar a la Junta de Síndicos del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Pearland a emitir los bonos del Distrito, en una o más series, por un monto total de capital de $75,000,000 con el fin de adquirir, construir, renovar y equipar instalaciones escolares en el Distrito, incluidas mejoras en el sistema de calefacción, ventilación y aire acondicionado, electricidad, plomería, techos, estacionamiento y seguridad, con bonos con vencimiento, que generen intereses y que sean emitidos y vendidos de conformidad con la ley al momento de su emisión; y deberá autorizarse a la Junta de Síndicos para imponer y comprometer, y hacer que se calculen y recauden impuestos anuales ad valorem sobre toda propiedad gravable en el Distrito de manera suficiente, sin límite en cuanto a la tasa o cantidad, para pagar el capital y los intereses sobre los bonos y el costo de cualquier contrato de crédito celebrado en relación con los bonos?
Proposition B
Shall the Board of Trustees of the Pearland Independent School District be authorized to issue bonds of the District, in one or more series or installments, in the amount of $30,000,000 for the design, construction, acquisition, rehabilitation, renovation, expansion, improvement and upgrading of technology devices and instructional technology, with the bonds to mature, bear interest, and be issued and sold in accordance with law at the time of issuance; and shall the Board of Trustees be authorized to levy and pledge, and cause to be assessed and collected, annual ad valorem taxes, on all taxable property in the District, sufficient, without limit as to rate or amount, to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds and the cost of any credit agreements executed in connection with the bonds?
¿Se deberá autorizar a la Junta de Síndicos del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Pearland a emitir los bonos del Distrito, en una o más series o cuotas, por un monto total de capital de $30,000,000 para el diseño, construcción, adquisición, rehabilitación, renovación, ampliación, mejora y actualización de dispositivos tecnológicos y tecnología educativa, con bonos con vencimiento, que generen intereses y que sean emitidos y vendidos de conformidad con la ley al momento de su emisión; y deberá autorizarse a la Junta de Síndicos para imponer y comprometer, y hacer que se calculen y recauden impuestos anuales ad valorem sobre toda propiedad gravable en el Distrito de manera suficiente, sin límite en cuanto a la tasa o cantidad, para pagar el capital y los intereses sobre los bonos y el costo de cualquier contrato de crédito celebrado en relación con los bonos?

Election Day Voting in the District shall be conducted on the 4th day of May, 2024, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the polling locations listed below. Eligible voters shall vote at the locations listed below. All eligible voters of the District may vote in the Election.
Se llevará a cabo la Votación el Día de la Elección en el Distrito el día 4 de mayo de 2024, entre las 7:00 a.m. y las 7:00 p.m. en los lugares de votación que se establecen a continuación.
