Friendswood celebrates National Small Business Week with community events

Date:

Friendswood is celebrating National Small Business Week with a series of engaging activities from April 28 to May 4, dedicated to highlighting the vital role small businesses play in fostering local economic growth and community spirit. The week-long series of events will be kicked off with free coffee at Summer Moon, sponsored by Frost Bank, accompanied by a city proclamation recognizing the importance of small enterprises.

Throughout the week, residents can participate in various workshops and seminars aimed at business development, including “Ask The Experts” sessions for personalized business coaching and key speaking events featuring local leaders like Brian Freedman, President of the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership.

Other notable events include professional headshot sessions, a marketing seminar titled “The Secret Sauce to Successful Marketing,” and behind-the-scenes tours of local businesses. The week will conclude with a grand finale at Friendswood Chamber of Commerce, featuring catering by Buffalo Catering and sponsored by HomeTown Bank.

The effort is being lead by the Community Economic Development Committee in partnership with the Friendswood Rotary Club, Friendswood Chamber of Commerce, FDFA and the SBDC.
