Alvin ISD educator Keirstan Hairgrove has been named assistant principal at Marek Elementary, and Julianna Walker was named assistant principal at Ronald E. McNair Junior High, two Alvin ISD campuses located in Pearland.
Hairgrove has spent three years as a math instructional coach at Hood-Case Elementary in Alvin ISD. She has also taught at Savannah Lakes Elementary, where she was named teacher of the year.
“She has over eight years’ experience, all of those being in Alvin ISD,” Superintendent Carol Nelson said.
Hairgrove graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a master’s in educational leadership.
Walker comes to the Alvin ISD from Hughes Road Elementary in Dickinson, where she was assistant principal. She began her teaching career in Alvin ISD at Disney Elementary and also taught at Fairview Junior High, Alvin High School, and Manvel Junior High. She earned her bachelor’s from Lindenwood University and master’s from Lamar University.
