Concert series moves to Independence Park

Pearland’s annual Concerts in the Park Series will move from Southdown to Independence Park, 3449 Pearland Parkway, for the month of June.

The Rock band Black Friday Project is set to take the stage at 7 p.m. this Friday.

Planned acts for the remainder of the series include 1960s tribute band The Fab 5 on June 14, country music by Texas Unlimited Band on June 21, and classic and 1980s band Timeless HTX on June 28.

Free and open to the public, the Concerts in the Park series is held every Friday during May and June. Food vendors will be on hand and picnics, lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged. Glass is prohibited in the park, and pets must be on a leash.
