The Friendswood Police Department has made multiple arrests following a months-long investigation into prostitution at several local massage parlors. The investigation, conducted in collaboration with the Webster Police Department, League City Police Department, and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), identified three businesses in Friendswood: L Massage, J&C Massage, and DD Thai Massage.
The coordinated undercover operation resulted in the arrests of Shijing Quito, 54, of Houston, Ling Yang, 54, of Missouri City, and Min Mou, 45, of Pearland. Quito has been charged with Promotion of Prostitution, with her bond set at $10,000. Yang faces two counts of Prostitution, with a bond of $2,000. Mou was also charged with Prostitution, with her bond set at $1,000.
Friendswood Police Chief Josh Rogers emphasized the importance of these arrests in the broader effort to address illegal activities in the area. “These arrests are a crucial step in our ongoing efforts to address illegal activities in our community,” said Chief Rogers.
“We are committed to upholding the law and ensuring that those involved in illegal activities are held accountable. Our collaboration with Webster, League City, and TDLR has been instrumental in this operation, and we remain vigilant in our efforts to combat any form of exploitation.”
The investigation is ongoing, with authorities now exploring potential links to human trafficking. While FPD is not providing further details at this time, it is common practice in law enforcement to offer plea deals to women charged with prostitution in exchange for their cooperation with an investigation. Additional arrests may be forthcoming as the situation develops.
The police department urges anyone with information about these cases or other criminal activities to contact them at 281-996-3300.
