Cultural arts grant program opens

Date:

An annual cultural arts grant provided through hotel occupancy tax opens for applications on Sept. 1.

In place since 2013, the Visit Pearland Cultural Arts Grant supports programs such as the Puranava Indian Culture Festival, Pearl Theatre and Fusion of the Arts.

“The Pearland Cultural Arts Grant Program is an investment in our community,” Visit Pearland executive director Tracy Rohrbacher said. “Through our support of arts-driven tourism, Visit Pearland invigorates the city’s economy and empowers artists, enriching our cultural landscape.

The application period for the fiscal year 2025 program is Sept. 1 through Oct. 21. Grants will be awarded in early December.

Grant applications should refer to programming between Oct. 1, 2024, and Sept. 30, 2025, which marks the beginning and end of the city’s 2025 fiscal year.

Nonprofit organizations located within the city limits of Pearland are encouraged to apply and must meet eligible criteria to be considered. Funding is limited to a $6,000 maximum grant application.

For information, contact Rohrbacher at info@visitpearland.com or by phone at 281-997-5972.
