Pearland ISD this month approved a $509,850 expense for the installation of a video scoreboard at the district stadium, a cost that Memorial Hermann will cover.

“We are partnering closely with them, and they are reimbursing the cost of (the scoreboard) for them to get recognition and be a partner throughout our district in various ways, and the scoreboard is one of those,” Pearland ISD Trustee Crystal Carbone said.
An agreement with Memorial Hermann was signed over the summer, Superintendent Larry Berger said.

“From 2024 to 2029, the five years, Memorial Hermann has committed $750,000 to Pearland ISD,” Berger said. “That is there the scoreboard is being paid from.”
The remaining funds will be used to purchase other athletic needs throughout the district, he said.
