Wynn Named Pearland ISD Director of Communications

Pearland ISD recently announced the appointment of Aliana M. Wynn as Director of Communications. Wynn brings a wealth of experience in communications, public relations, and community engagement to her new role.

A Houston native, Wynn has dedicated the past 15 years to building a strong career in communications. Her experience includes serving as the Communications Director to the Houston Mayor Pro-Tem, where she honed her skills in strategic messaging and media relations. She also was Executive Director for The George and Barbara Bush Center for Scholars and Leaders, collaborating closely with the Bush family to expand their global impact through international leadership programs in China and Taiwan.

Most recently, Wynn served as Pearland ISDs Communications Project Specialist, overseeing district-wide internal and external communication initiatives. Her ability to build strong community partnerships and secure sponsorships and fundraising for the district will be invaluable in her new role.

“I am eager to leverage my experience to amplify the voices of Pearland ISD and create impactful communication strategies that support student and staff success,” Wynn said. “Pearland ISD has a remarkable reputation for excellence, and I look forward to sharing inspiring stories of our district.”

Wynn holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication and journalism from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and a Master of Arts in Hispanic Media Studies and Public Relations from St. Thomas University in Miami. She is also an active community member, serving as a Board Member with the Vic Coppinger Family YMCA.
