Oilers shut out Sam Rayburn 59-0

Pearland junior defensive lineman Jaylen Stewart gets the sack versus Sam Rayburn in a 59-0 Oiler win to open district play.  Stewart finished with four more tackles on a night that saw the Oiler defense hold Sam Rayburn to just one first down via a penalty.  Up next is the Alvin Yellowjackets on Friday, September 20, at 7 pm at Pearland Stadium.

Pearland junior wide receiver Jet Hernandez skirts the sideline while breaking a tackle on his way to the endzone for six points.  Hernandez had seven catches for 168 yards, including three touchdown receptions in just the first quarter.  The Oilers got the win over Sam Rayburn 59-0 in the district play opener.  This Friday is homecoming and will see Pearland welcome the Alvin Yellowjackets at 7 pm on Friday September 20.
