Pearland ISD National Merit Commended Students Announced

Thirty-eight Pearland Independent School District students have been named commended students in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Commended students include:

Turner College and Career High School: Lydia Greer, Ian Norwood, Carsten Paasch, and Daniel Tran.

Dawson High School: Rain Alam, Lily Bankson, Adhav Chezhian, Kyla Cole, John Fan, Miles Hartgerink, Daniel Jones, Sion Joo, Issac Linerode, Marc Lu, Madi Lwin, Callie Meng, Amy Miao, Nova Mu, Keith Nong, Mahesh Parmeswaran, Arnab Sarkar, Irene Shi, Alexander Sun, Shreyasi Sundaram, Nathaniel Waguespack, Chen Wang, Julia Xiao, Katherine Xie, Jaqueline Xiong.

Pearland High School: David Castle, Jaden DeLeon, Kesler Do, Adam Harrington, Keziah James, Meera Nair, Taylor Shaefer, Kaiden Vo, Brooke Wilson.

These students rank among approximately 34,000 commended students nationwide who are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise.

Although Commended Students will not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, some may be candidates for Special Scholarships offered by corporate sponsors.
