Bank Jugging Suspect Charged

On October 7, 2024, Arturo Villarreal, 41, of Houston, was charged with Theft >=$2,500<$30,000. The charge is the result of a bank jugging investigation from August 2024.
Villarreal followed a landscape truck from Chase Bank in Pearland to the 500 block of Southfield where he broke into the truck and stole money the victim withdrew from the bank.
At the time of the theft, Villarreal was driving a rental vehicle. Villarreal turned himself into his parole officer and will be transferred to the Galveston County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
