Friendswood FFA Celebrates Success at Gulf Coast District Leadership Event

Friendswood High School’s FFA chapter is celebrating a major victory at the Gulf Coast District Leadership Development Event (LDE), where nine out of eleven competing teams have advanced to the Area III LDE contest scheduled for November 20. Friendswood FFA earned 2nd in the Sweepstakes and is set to bring a solid lineup for the next level of competition.
The advancing teams and their members include:
– Jr. Chapter Conducting – 1st Place, Advancing to Area: Rhett Wagoner, Johannah Grantham, Riley Halata, Rylee Smith, Jadyn Byers, Claire Appel
– Radio – 1st Place, Advancing to Area: Ben Seifert, Tatum Mantell, Gracie Davis
– Sr. Creed – 2nd Place, Advancing to Area: Peyton McAshlan
– Sr. Quiz – 2nd Place, Advancing to Area: Faith Jackson, Abigail Griego, Ashlynn Ulekowski, Solisa Azar
– Sr. Chapter Conducting – 2nd Place, Advancing to Area: Peyton McAshlan, Erin McKinney, Marlee Collins, Tabitha Reifel, Rebecca Davis, Gunner Rister, Shane Parks, Wyatt Newman, Luke Boyer
– Public Relations – 3rd Place, Advancing to Area: Jenna Bliek, Jaxtin McCollum, Ava Stone, Will Hallmark
– Jr. Quiz – 3rd Place, Advancing to Area: Elizabeth Burney, Riley Halata, Rylee Smith, Claire Appel
– Sr. Skills – 3rd Place, Advancing to Area: Katelyn Harris, Tabitha Reifel, Marlee Collins
– Job Interview – 3rd Place, Advancing to Area: Jaxtin McCollum
