On Shadow Creek’s last regular season home game and senior night, the Sharks completely devoured Sam Rayburn, scoring early and often and never letting up.
Sophomore Evan Morehead returned the opening kickoff 66 yards to score Shadow Creek’s first touchdown. Junior Chris Stewart and senior Croix Pitre each scored on touchdown passes from sophomore Dante Mayes to end the first quarter with the Sharks up 21-0.
A bad snap forced Sam Rayburn out of the endzone, scoring a safety for Shadow Creek. Sophomore Tristan Willis scored one of his two rushing touchdowns to push the score to 30-0. Morehead then blocked a punt on Sam Rayburn’s next possession, which sophomore Cameron Hebert picked up and returned for a Shadow Creek touchdown. Senior Rahim Hutchins hauled in a 27-yard touchdown pass from Mayes, and Willis scored his second touchdown on a 45-yard run to end first half scoring with the Sharks up 51-0.
Senior Alex Kirkland opened up scoring in the third quarter with a 93-yard run. Senior QB Sean Brooks threw a 91-yard touchdown pass to junior Inno Beauchamp to push the score to 65-0. Brooks closed out the scoring in the 4th quarter with a 35-yard quarterback keeper.
Shadow Creek finishes its regular season 9-1 overall and 8-0 (1st) in District play. The Sharks host Fort Bend Elkins in a playoff game on Thursday at 7 pm at Freedom Field.
