Texans are now 6-4 on the season

Date:

Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud gets his feet set and ready to pass the ball vs the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football.  The Lions came into NRG as one of the best teams in the NFL and were favored over Houston.

The Texans had an excellent first half, with the defense grabbing three interceptions and the offense putting up a 23-7 lead going into the halftime break.  Despite another two interceptions by the Texan’s defense, the offense could not get anything going to seal the game.

The Lions fought back and clawed their way to a last-second field goal to win it 26-23.  The loss moves the Texans to 6-4 on the season, but they still hang on to first place in the AFC South.

Next, Houston travels to Dallas to face the Cowboys for another national TV game on Monday Night Football on November 18, starting at 7 pm.   —photo by Lloyd Hendricks
