Burglary

Nov. 11 (10:07 a.m.) A vehicle burglary was reported in the 16700 block of Townes Road. The incident occurred sometime overnight. The rear driver’s side window was smashed. The suspect stole a circular saw, a fan and a welder.

Theft

Nov. 13 (11:55 a.m.) A resident in the 1400 block of W. Castlewood Drive had a check stolen from her mailbox. The check was altered and cashed. The suspect attempted to cash a second check, but the charge was reversed.
Nov. 13 (2:33 p.m.) A 78-year-old Friendswood man had three checks that were stolen, duplicated, and cashed.
Nov. 13 (5:07 p.m.) A package was stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Skyview Terrace.

Fraud

Nov. 11 (2:41 p.m.) A Friendswood man reported that his identity was stolen and used to open a Verizon account without his permission. He was alerted to the identity theft after receiving a letter I the mail from Verizon about an outstanding balance.
Nov. 12 (5:04 p.m.) A 76-year-old Friendswood woman was scammed after she purchased various gift cards to pay off a representative who claimed to be with a computer security software company.
Nov. 14 (8:50 a.m.) A Friendswood man received an email from a scammer claiming to be with PayPal and wanting to discuss a pending PayPal charge. The scammer claimed he was trying to credit the victim’s account. Instead, the scammer claimed that he credited him too much money and requested the excess back in the form of gift cards.
Nov. 15 (9:32 a.m.) A 63-year-old Friendswood woman’s computer was compromised, and she received an email accusing her of downloading child pornography and demanding money in the form of Bitcoin to keep her out of trouble. She sent the requested money via Bitcoin to the scammer.
Nov. 18 (9:02 a.m.) A Friendswood resident sold a car and did not remove the license plates prior to the sale. Now, the seller is receiving toll bills and unpaid parking tickets associated with that license plate.

Lost Property

Nov. 13 (12:35 p.m.) A purple Apple iPhone 14 was reported as lost property.

A male suspect, 36, of Houston, was charged with No Commercial Driver’s License, No Insurance, and Defective Brakes.
A female suspect, 59, of Rosharon, was charged with Theft of Property with Prior Convictions.
A male suspect, 27, of Manvel, was charged with Driving While License Invalid.
A male suspect, 36, of Friendswood, was charged with Assault.
A male suspect, 19, of Hitchcock, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
A male suspect, 52, of Houston, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
A male suspect, 31, of Friendswood, was charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1.
A male suspect, 28, of New York, was charged with Driving While License Invalid.
A male suspect 54, of Friendswood, was charged with Driving While License Invalid.
A male suspect, 46, of Alvin, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for leaving the scene of an accident.
A male suspect, 46, of Houston, was charged with Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon.
A male suspect, 21, of Houston, was arrested on a Harris County warrant.
A male suspect, 29, was charged with Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transport.
A male suspect, 29, of League City, was charged with Driving While License Invalid.
A male suspect, 53, of Houston, was charged with Public Intoxication and Criminal Mischief.
A male suspect, 24, of Webster, was charged with Driving While License Invalid.
