Friendswood ISD Elementary Schools Earn Certified Kind School Status

Date:

by Friendswood ISD Communication Department

Four Friendswood ISD elementary schools—Bales Intermediate, Cline Elementary, Westwood Elementary, and Windsong Elementary—have been recognized as Certified Kind Schools by the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation. This designation celebrates the schools’ dedication to fostering compassion, respect, and empathy within their communities.

The certification process involved completing the foundation’s Certified Kindness School checklist, which includes initiatives like promoting kindness pledges, engaging students and staff in acts of kindness, and integrating lessons about empathy into classroom activities. Each school successfully met these standards, earning a certificate that reflects their commitment to creating positive and inclusive environments for learning.

Certified Kind Schools emphasize the importance of teaching academic skills and life values that inspire meaningful connections, encouraging participants to commit to actions that spread positivity throughout their school communities.
